i have a love-hate relationship with people/the human race. tonight i love them. tomorrow i’ll hate them/me. with that said, i am so thankful that there are people that have passions…good passions. tonight we held our first augustana against aids meeting. there were 25 people. (i realize that may sound pathetic to some of you…but for augustana it is amazing!). i feel weird being the head cheese for something that is so much bigger than my capabilities can reach but it went really well…ideas coming from every which way…people responding and getting excited…chelsea trying not to cry…everyone wanting to take the ’slap people across the face’ approach (of course followed by something they can actually do) as opposed to the ‘here let me slip a condom in your bag when no one is looking’ idea which should be interesting! i pray that i can keep this excitement (totally wrong word) for AAA going and never get to the point where it is something i HAVE to do just cuz i am the prez. i am so thankful that there are people here that want to come together to raise awareness…awareness that brings action. i feel so inadequate and so uneducated to be doing this but after tonight i feel so encouraged that there are people that want to help me to DO something. tonight…i love people.
now back to reading.
