well…i am alive and well! it was quite the interesting trip…probably the hardest i have physically pushed myself in a long time…and here is what i have to show for it…
k, well honest this isn’t my leg…but mine sure do look almost like that! plus my face is sunburnt and all peely…it feels great! (sarcasm). but anyways it was a great trip but physically exhausting…partially because i am far more out of shape than i should be…ooops! note: i will never eat pepperoni again! one of the funnest parts was sleeping in our beloved snow cave which looked similar to this…
but of course ours was better…or maybe just appreciated more since it took 6 hours to make! but bla bla, yadda yadda the trip was good! i will try to have for real pictures of it up soon!
on to other news…today an old counsellor of mine, jason anderson, came to talk in chapel, and religious studies as well as doing an evening talk about hermenuetics, missions, etc. it was really awesome and encouraging discussing palestine and the view of enemies there as opposed to here. it was a bit random but sweet.
in other news…rumor has it that chelsea raeanne might be the next best thing since sliced bread!…or just the next president of augustana against aids…which ever is prefered?! there is some ideas floating around already about what might be happening next year…so i am pumped about that!
also my sister is walking in the ms walkathon again this year and has a goal to raise $3000…so please go to her blog to find out more info…(the link that says sheena).
mom…you should see my ankles…it’s a good time! i hope drama is going good. i called at like 11pm last night and you still weren’t home…i was worried…what kind of kids are you hanging around with lately?
alas my homework is waiting…as well as my chaplaincy interview…hmmmm…when to scheduele?!?!
word of advice for the day: for a good time, go see wild hogs with johnny travolta!

one day away from heading to the backcountry of jasper for 5 days to tele ski up, tent, tele ski up again, build snow caves (we bought a disco ball for ours), do avalanche testing, beacon searches, snow testing, etc, etc!

but i am still mostly confident! except for the fact that i am in a group with two boys…who like to do stupid things…so let’s just hope we come back with all 6 ski poles in tact!
i have a lot to do before i leave…like get brown bags…(we are going with the ‘leave no trace’ point of ‘you pack it in, you pack it out’…including you know what!!! it should be interesting. let’s just say i hope it doesn’t get too warm!)
on a better note…today is ladies night at the climbing wall and i get to work! i did a b’day party on sat with 10 boys between the ages of 9 and 12…so much fun!!! i have lots of blisters from practically pulling them up the wall but it was so worth it!
