been awhile?!

well, here i am in the od on ac library freezing my butt off but thinking that i should update my blog, even though most people who check it are within a 5 k radius from where i am right now. none the less i will update, knowing that perhaps two ppl will read it who are outside of this radius.
anyways, i am at camp, week one of campers is done (this of which i am thankful) and i am getting exciting for more campers to arrive tomorrow. i had a weird cabin of girls this week, only four campers and they were gone from 9:15 till 4:30 because they were at thunderhorse ranch camp (a horse camp that is not christian based so it is cool when we get to do work with them) but the time i got to spend with them was really fun. i had this really hyper girl in my cabin named mary, who knows very little about God and the bible so it was really neat watching her get really excited about the stories i would tell her about Jesus. she was quite the character though…she would constantly joke around and often say…”no i can’t die…i have to go to college”! funny since she was only 8! my head counsellor duties are overwhelming but i love it! the girls we have on staff are all so unique and full of excitement, i am so excited to get to know them better. well the count for peed beds was high this week, total of 7 i think…funny how in 6 years of doing camp i haven’t had a pee in one of my cabins yet…or a home sick camper! weird this week there was also 9 kids who puked…we think there was a stomach virus going around b/c a couple staff got hit with it too. anyways in case anyone hadn’t heard yet…SHEENA AND CONRAD GOT A BOXER!!! (why does everything exciting always happen when i am gone?!) this is a big thing for us because none of us have ever had a pet before…unless you count our pond fish hercules and little toot?! so i really wish i could see it, especially now when it is really small, but i must wait till aug 28 unfortunately, so if maybe he could resist the whole growth thing that would be great! his name is moses…cute hey! oh and if you hadn’t heard…SISTER ANNE IS BACK IN SASK!!!!! so i send my love and hope to see u at the end of august…oh wait…better idea…come visit me and sam at camp…her camp name is kontagious (sweet hey!). so although the internet access is limited, especially since we didn’t have access for a week and a half, i will try to email you all but i can only do so much, so i thought this entry would be much needed. if anyone wants to read more, go check out dave’s blog (in my links, david gaines), sooooooooo good! well i must hit up the supper scene…p.s….don’t ever go to the royal in downtown vancouver on the UBC night…bad idea!
